INEC HAS REMOVED THE NAMES OF ADC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AND SECRETARY FROM THEIR PORTAL

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) removed the names of the ADC national chairman and secretary from its portal. Specifically, David Mark (chairman) and Rauf Aregbesola (secretary) were affected.

The action was based on a Court of Appeal judgment related to the leadership dispute in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
INEC said it is trying to maintain the status quo until the case is fully decided in court.

INEC also announced it will, stop recognizing any faction of ADC for now, Ignore communications from the rival groups, Avoid monitoring their meetings, congresses, or conventions

INEC is not saying who the real chairman is yet but It is basically saying: “Until the court settles this, we won’t recognize any leader or faction.”
