Ghana is making a big move towards African unity! Starting May 25, 2026, Ghana will offer visa-free entry to all Africans. This means citizens from across the continent can enter Ghana without going through the traditional visa process.
The policy, announced by President John Dramani Mahama, aims to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. Africans traveling to Ghana will receive e-visas online for free. This is part of Ghana's broader e-visa reform program and efforts to strengthen Pan-Africanism.
Ghana joins Benin, The Gambia, Rwanda, and Seychelles as the only African countries offering visa-free entry to all Africans. The move is expected to enhance Ghana's position as a hub for business, conferences, and tourism.
The announcement was made during President Mahama's meeting with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, highlighting strengthened diplomatic ties. Ghana has already signed 23 visa waiver agreements for its citizens, expanding travel opportunities.
